Position Overview
We're looking for an experienced special education professional to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in a virtual setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in differentiated instruction, IEP development and implementation, and digital learning tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction through virtual platforms
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and ensure appropriate accommodations
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and performance
- Conduct virtual meetings with parents, staff, and other stakeholders
- Monitor and assess student achievement using various digital assessment tools
- Provide guidance and support to parents/guardians regarding at-home learning strategies
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Idaho teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience in special education
- Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and educational technology
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
